Fredericia Bulk Terminal issued a tender for building a new port terminal including design and functionality. Lachenmeier Monsun was the supplier who could handle these criteria.

Due to the increase of feed in the swine production in Denmark the need of a new port terminal was necessary.

Lachenmeier Monsun and Fredericia Bulk Terminal worked closed together to find the right solution to create a sustainable plant to transport bulk products such as wheat, barley and rape seed.

This new plant is being able to store a capacity of 40.000 tons of cereals and the smaller operating hopper silos can contain more than 8.000 tons on a daily business. The equipmentLachnemeier Monsun delivered for operating the bulk terminal counts transport equipment, filters, aspiration, sampling system and the dryer runs a capacity of 160 t/h, from 18% at 85°C.

Safety and environment:

Energy saving is an issue that has been taken into consideration and this plant has a 15% lower energy use due to normal conventional process drying.

To take all precautions the silo system has been provided with a fire extinguishing system.

Details on Lachenmeier Monsun deliveries.

Intake system: Truck intake 300 t/h

Filling of silos: Conveying capacity 300 t/h

Discharge of silos: Conveying capacity to the quay for ship loading 600 t/h
