HaGe needed to expand their plant in Rostock as the demand of cereals has been growing over the last years. The capacity has been expanded with 35.000 t so today’s storage has increased to 135.000 t.
Fredericia Bulk Terminal issued a tender for building a new port terminal including design and functionality. Lachenmeier Monsun was the supplier who could handle these criteria.
Lachenmeier Monsun was asked to provide a solution for the transport of wood chips as the AVA is expanding their main incineration of waste to include biomass – primarily straw. To provide an economic and reliable operation, AVA has chosen a backup solution of wood chips in case of problems with supply of straw. The power plant can deliver up to 50% wood chips.
Lachenmeier Monsun together with partners: Persolit A/S and Danpro Steel Construction A/S provided the solution for the transport of wood pellets from ship to storage silo with a capacity of 1.000 t/h. The total silo capacity is 100.000 m3.
